Photo Manipulation

Focusing on photo manipulation, this project highlights different hip hop groups that were influential to the genre’s popularization. From Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five to A Tribe Called Quest, each group is emphasized through photo manipulation done in Photoshop, where I separated each member into their own section and experimented with 3d space to create the effect of the photos moving. I then took each Photoshop file and animated it in Adobe After Effects. To add recognition to each artist, I cut a mash-up of each group's most popular song.
